Inspired by both a LYT podcast about how walking patterns effect our other movement and the Arrowsmith song with the same name, this class is about activating the deep core stabilizers and mobilizing the hips. The podcast reported that when we don't have enough mobility in the hips to swing the legs as we walk, the joint between the bottom lumbar vertebra (L5) and the top of the sacrum (S1) need to compensate by turning the pelvis beyond it's normal 4 degrees of rotation. This leads to low back pain, ouch!
