The pelvis is an important center for energy transfer from the ground, through the limbs and into the axial skeleton. In traditional energy systems, the pelvis contains "the root" which makes a lot of sense when we think about biomechanics of movement as it relates to the pelvis. We work on setting the pelvis to it's neutral position and distinguish movement of the pelvis versus movement at the hip. We also work on "Sun Salutation 1" variations which are always included in full LYT yoga classes.
